The ALEC company, which is the main contractor for the world famous Wynn Resorts casino hotel, will build the first casino resort in the UAE. ALEC Engineering and Contracting (ALEC) is part of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD). The announcement was made on Wednesday by Marjan Island in partnership with Wynn Resorts Limited and RAK Hospitality Holding. It was also announced that Bauer International will take the piling and enabling works.
As stated by Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Resorts, the unique project of Wynn Marjan will be opened in 2026 in Ras Al Khaimah. The development on Marjan Island will be home to the ground-breaking casino which will be around 199,000 sq. ft in size, and is scheduled to open in 2027.
At the moment, Ras Al Khaimah is writing gaming laws for the casino on the basis of US and Singaporean regulations, while the company of Wynn Marjan is planning its casino operations in the emirate. According to the news portal; Arabian Business, the development company of Wynn Resorts has registered trademarks for the names ‘Marjan Strip’ and ‘Arabian Strip’.
Abdulla Abdooli, Chief Executive Officer of Marjan, declared that the company has teamed up with the best-in-class partners in order to complete the project on time and fulfil the expectations of investors and stakeholders. The complex will be the biggest of its kind in the growing hospitality sector of Ras Al Khaimah.
