Dubai tops the list of the Middle East’s wealthiest cities for 2023

Dubai was ranked number one in the Middle East region by Henley & Partners’ report on the world’s richest cities for 2023.

This informative report on the world’s wealthiest and fastest-growing cities, with exclusive data on the number of millionaires, centi-millionaires, and billionaires, as well as real estate information from scholars and experts, will be useful to all investors, consultants, professionals and politicians who seek to attract wealth to their cities.

Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi top the list of UAE emirates with the biggest number of millionaires in 2023. Over the past 10 years, from 2012 to 2022, the growth rate of HNWIs (‘Wealthy Individuals’ or ‘HNWIs’ refers to individuals with investable wealth of $1 million or more) in Dubai amounted to 62%. The top cities in the overall ranking are in countries with investment migration programmes and foreign investment incentives in exchange for residency or citizenship.

A total of 97 cities from five regions from around the world were included in the ranking. The data is presented in an interactive chart and includes criteria such as the growth of ultra-high-income individuals, the number of billionaires and centi-millionaires, including the number of HNWIs living in each city (residents).
