The Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) is a 110 acre mixed-use project located right off Sheikh Zayed Road. DIFC’s vision was/is to be a world class financial center to rival those in London, New York and Hong Kong.
DIFC comprises almost entirely of Grade A office space without STRATA ownership that is particularly attractive for Multinational corporations. The District also has High-end and luxurious residential towers as well as a couple of hotels.
DIFC property is dictated according to its own by-laws. As an example, property transfer fees in DIFC are 5% (as against 4% for other freehold areas of Dubai.)
